{"id":22199,"date":"2023-03-14T13:25:17","date_gmt":"2023-03-14T13:25:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hofferplastics.com\/?p=22199"},"modified":"2025-11-12T10:44:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T16:44:47","slug":"proprietary-closures-bring-sustained-growth-to-hoffer-plastics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hofferplastics.com\/press-release\/proprietary-closures-bring-sustained-growth-to-hoffer-plastics\/","title":{"rendered":"Proprietary closures bring sustained growth to Hoffer Plastics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"first-graph\" class=\"\">South Elgin, Ill. \u2014 The seed for Hoffer Plastics Corp.&#8217;s recent growth was planted more than a decade ago \u2014 even before the company won the\u00a0<i>Plastics News<\/i>\u00a0Processor of the Year award in 2012 \u2014 according to Alex Hoffer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;To be able to tell the whole story, we have to go back to a conference room in 2009, when we were doing strategic planning, because we recognized at the time that we had a customer \u2014 and they&#8217;re still one of our largest customers, and we love them dearly \u2014 that too much of our business was coming from,&#8221; Alex Hoffer said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;So the question that the group asked was, &#8216;What happens if they went away?'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\">The strategic answer to that question was to develop a proprietary product. The move marked a big departure from Hoffer Plastics&#8217; roots in custom injection molding.<\/p>\n<p><a
