Plastics Technology sat down with members of the Hoffer Plastics team to learn more about the company’s ongoing investment in automation and the benefits to customers. Automation project manager Adam VanMeter explored our integration of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and cobots, which together support part inspection, filling, palletizing and transporting boxes.<\/p>\r\n

Since installation, automation has saved more than 55,000 hours of manual labor for the team. The AMRs also protect employees from lifting between 1.5 and 2.0 million pounds annually.<\/p>\r\n
